Entering the Whirlpool with Maude Latour is easy because this Dutch-American singer is making a splash with the ‘Sugar Water Tour’ as she headlines shows across the US. Going viral during COVID-19 for her single One More Weekend, and upon the release of her debut album Sugar Water, she is proving to be a force in the pop world. As she took the stage in Dallas, Texas at Club Dada, Maude Latour performed a remarkable show that will leave you wanting more!

The fans poured in wearing their sparkliest outfit and excitedly gathered around the stage, anxiously anticipating the show’s start. Singer-songwriter MARIS opened the show, bringing an electric energy to Club Dada that perfectly prepped fans for their headliner Maude. Once her set passed and the crew prepared from Maude’s section, before anyone knew it, Maude Latour took the stage sporting a Dallas Cowboys jersey and tinsel flowing through her hair. The crowd screamed the lyrics of Officially Mine to open the show. The pop star makes the show feel interactive for every member of the audience as she takes the time to hop off stage and dance in the middle of the crowd with all of her fans. She stands in the center of the room as the crowd sways back and forth, shouting the lyrics back to the singer. She even asked members of the audience what makes a Cosmic Superstar Girl before effortlessly transitioning into the song.

The whole night felt like a movie montage in the best way. She played songs such as Walk Backwards, Whirlpool and an old hit Superfruit. Props make their way into the show in the best ways possible. She playfully sprayes the audience with water from a water gun during Sugar Water and threw a handful of roses into the crowd during Infinite Roses. These moments connect the audience with the singer allowing for a chance to collect a special keepsake from their favorite artist. Later in the set, Maude Latour has a very earnest heart-to-heart with her fans while explaining the next song. She states that ‘it feels good being in a room full of queer people’ and then offers to play them a brand new song unreleased titled Miss America. As the night winds down, Maude exits the stage after Bloom but the fans cry out for an encore from the pop star. Maude reemerges on stage in a new reflective sequin one-piece and dip-dyed wig to perform her closing songs. With high energy from Maude and the crowd, the final two songs for the evening were 001 and her hit song Cursed Romantics. As she took her final bow, the electricity from the crowd cheering for her was amazing. If you are looking for a place to dress up in your most sequined outfit and dance your heart out, the ‘Sugar Water Tour’ is the place for you!
