Music, Why Not!

Mexican Dubwiser New Album Border Frequency Out Now

DJ duo from Los Angeles, California called Mexican Dubwiser comprised of Ulises Lozano of Kinky and Marcelo Tijerina have just released their new album entitled Border Frequency. What’s cool about this album is that they fuse Latin American rhythms with  hip-hop, funk, rock, and electronic dance music. Not to mention they collaborated with  various amazing artist from both Mexico and the U.S including: Money Mark (producer and musical collaborator with the Beastie Boys and Beck), Tito Fuentes and Randy Ebright of Molotov,  soul-singers Katrina Blackstone and Myron Glasper, and Hip-Hop MCs Self Provoked and Natty Speaks. There is something cool about the vibe of this album. With all its new and diverse components in the mix you are sure to find a song to dance to.

It starts of with the song “Lecture Me” ft Tito Fuentes & Self Provoked.  It is a dangerously catchy tune with a lot of party Latin under tones. ” La Gran Ciudad” ft Tino El Pingüino has a more dance vibe to it mixed with some cool rap components. The chorus almost reminds me of a song by Mike Skinner from The Streets. This song is more lyrical based depicting the rough life in the streets of a big city.  As the record progresses it keeps its EDM Latin groove. Songs like “Nobody is Perfect” ft Money Mark, “Get Up” ft Katrina Blackstone, and “Rock Your Body” ft Randy Ebright & Myron Glasper (which in my opinion has a bit of Trival components to it). The cool thing about this record is that it balances its dance vibe and sticky choruses with meaningful messages.  The second to last tune entitled “Gone” ft Self Provoked has a Trival vibe to it, and cool Spanish rap mixing it with a catchy chorus it is the perfect song for your 15. The last song which helps finish the album with a bang is “Walk to the Future” ft Myron Glasper It is my favorite from the record. It is soft dance music with a kicker drum groove to it. This DJ group from Los Angeles, California (a place where artist can have the most diversity in their sound) is sure to become one of your new favorite dance party groups. Their groovy sounds, sticky chorus lines, meaningful lyrics, and Latin undertones revolutionize dance music.  Their album Border Frequency is out now! Be sure to get on with it and take a listen.
