Hailing all the way from the UK, Mimi Webb, named Vevo Artists To Watch 2022 and People Magazine Artist to Watch, recently released her debut EP Seven Shades of Heartbreak this past fall. Although newly released, it has generated over hundreds of millions of streams and notably championed by Teen Vogue, FLAUNT, and Pop Sugar. Her two singles “Good Without” and “Dumb Love” secured spots in the Top 15 on the UK Singles Chart. Mimi Webb kicked off her North American tour supporting Tate McRae this spring starting in Seattle and concluding in Salt Lake City. While making her way through Texas, we had the pleasure of catching her at Emo’s in Austin.

Fans arrived in stylish outfits, decked with leather and a whole lot of edginess. Although the night started off with a hiccup of bad weather warning, luckily the show got the carry on and the excitement could be felt throughout the venue. The show was highly anticipated and fans were ready for the night to get started. When Mimi Webb entered the stage, the crowd cheered loudly. Her setup included a bright neon sign of her name at the center of the stage.

Mimi started her set with “Before I Go”, snuck in a cover of “I’m Not the Only One” by Sam Smith and concluded with “Good Without.” Fans sang along word for word during “24/5”, which has garnered popularity thanks to TikTok. Mimi channels her musical influences from Adele and Sam Smith and of course, puts her sensational spin into her music. She emcompasses heartbreak in a different way with “Dumb Love”, hitting the high notes effortlessly while tugging all of our heart strings. Although Mimi’s set was short with seven songs, she left a long lasting impression on the audience with her magnetic voice and down to earth personality. She was quick to make jokes and charmed the audience with her wit. Mimi Webb is just getting started and you’ll have to put her on your list to watch (and catch her live if you get the chance!).
