MisterWives & Bishop Briggs @ House of Blues – Houston, TX

MisterWives and Bishop Briggs gave Houston an incredible show at House of Blues as part of “The Don’t Look Down” Tour.

The show started with Natalie Jane. Myself and the crowd were impressed with her vocal skills and the catchiness of the songs. Songs like “Do or Die” and “Seven” were stuck in my head the entire night. She did an amazing job at opening the show.

Up next was the first headliner of the night, MisterWives. The set opened with “Out Of Your Mind” followed by “Dagger”. Fans were cheering in excitement and the energy in the room was indescribable, we were excited to see what the show would hold. During multiple songs in the show, the band were perfectly choreographed in their dance moves and interactions with each other and the crowd, it was refreshing to see. The band played a wide variety of songs from their discography such as “Rock Bottom” and “Sideways”, they even took a moment to “throw it back in time” and played songs from their debut album such as “Our Own House” and “Reflections”. The set ended with “Nosebleeds”. MisterWives gave us a performance to remember.

Last but not least was Bishop Briggs, she came out and opened the set with “Art of Survival” – the crowd immediately joined in singing and gave her their all. She took a brief moment to thank everyone for staying after MisterWives to watch her set, she was excited to give us her all for the show. The set was followed by songs such as “Wild Horses”, “Baby”, “JEKYLL & HIDE”, and even “Baggage”. Briggs’ set was full of incredible vocals and equally amazing visuals. Bishop took a moment to tell us about how she competed on the TV show “The Masked Singer”, humbly telling us that she won and then followed with a cover of “Take Me To Church”. The night ended when she played “River”, one of her most popular songs.

The Don’t Look Down Tour was an incredible show, from the individual performers, to visuals, to the audience – it was a show to remember. If the tour comes to a city near you, please attend, you will not regret it!
