You know the perfect way to test if you really like a song? If you find yourself getting lost in the song. If everything around you disappears and all you can do is sing along to it. You feel this rush of emotion shooting all through your body. You Forget whatever went on that day and just feel every sense of you come alive. If a song is able to evoke some sort of feeling in your body and keep that feeling alive for its entirety then it is definitely a song worth listening to on repeat.
Northern National a rock band in Dallas, TX just dropped “MoneyBlind.” Oh boy, let me just tell you this song has a 99.99% chance of making you feel “something” and keeping you there until the very end. What I love about this bands music is the fact that their songs feel really personal. I am not going to go into too much detail because.. hey it takes away the mystery. I do have to mention that I was hooked as soon as I heard this line: “I feel hopeless lost in a sea of gold.” The lyrical content in this song is beautiful with the instrumentals also sounding amazingly clean and well put together. This song flows really nicely. I am really quite obsessed with the instrumentals. The guitar solo in the middle of the song is brilliant. It really made the song stand out a million times more. I can’t forget to mention how killer the vocals are. The underlying vocal tracks blend so well together they are total class. There is something especial about this band. They evoke so much feeling in their music that it goes right to you. It is almost as if you were in that moment with them. It is definitely a song worth listening to… over….and…..over again!
