Nothing But Thieves stops in Los Angeles, California at the iconic Wiltern as they make their way through North America on the Dead Club City Tour! The British rock band returned to the states with a sold out show to a crowd that knew almost every single lyric to the 20 songs they performed.

Kicking off the night strong with the first single “Welcome to the DCC” from their latest album, ‘Dead Club City’ really set the tone for the night. The room lit up red as the riff began and the crowd just lost it. It’s such a magical moment to see a band go from playing small cap venues to selling out one of the most iconic theaters in LA.

The energy stayed bursting at the seams on that Saturday night as the band made their way through most of their discography, playing tunes from their debut self titled to their newest record.  Lead vocalist and guitarist Conor Mason hit every high note just like he does on the albums. I have seen many performances by him online and knew to expect perfection, but was still blown away by his vocal range. There was a point in the night when the crowd went silent as he belted the chorus in “Sorry” – a truly magical moment. Bringing the grunge and rock spirit all the way from their hometown in Southend-on-Sea, Essex there was no skips in their performance. They played so well and had such a great dynamic with the crowd that people fully sticked around for the two song encore and still wanted more.

I can say with confidence that was one of my favorite shows of this year. The execution of their live performances is pretty flawless. They know when to stop, when to get louder, when to appreciate the crowd’s love. I think sometimes bands go on stage and black out and forget that there is an audience there, but Nothing But Thieves, proved they are an A class act! If you are thinking about seeing them on this tour – Music, Why Not 100% recommends. 10 starts out of 5 for sure!
