Petit Biscuit @ The Danforth Music Hall – Toronto

French DJ and producer Petit Biscuit returned to Toronto for the second time this year on his “Sunset Lover” tour, named after his hit song that managed to rack up nearly 250 million streams on Spotify. Despite only being 18 years old, the young artist has already managed to achieve some pretty remarkable milestones, including landing a spot on the 2018 Coachella lineup later this year in April.

The show was opened by , a local artist who had no problem hyping up the crowd with his original tunes “Stay” and “Awakening” as well as covering remixes of “Love is Alive” by Louis the Child and Kanye West’s iconic “I Love Kanye.”

Petit Biscuit seems to to be one that manages to defy the basic conventions of EDM music, giving it a softer edge. Nonetheless, the artist proved to have no problem nearly selling out his show. Even on a frigid Wednesday night, The Danforth Music Hall in Toronto was packed with audiences of all ages who bumped and grooved to the chilled out vibes and perfectly coordinated light show of Petit Biscuit’s set.

The artist performed a variety of songs from his new “Presence” EP including “Waterfall,” “Problems” and obviously, “Sunset Lover.” There is no doubt that Petit Biscuit has already established a signature sound at such a young age making this truly just the start of a talented young DJ’s career. We look forward to seeing what the artist has in store for 2018.
