Pierce The Veil brought the “I Can’t Hear You” Tour to Houston, and it was a show to remember. The band was joined by Sleeping With Sirens and Beach Weather, two iconic acts.
It was a hot sunny day in Houston, fans were in line as early as 8am ready to see their favorite artists. As soon as you were in the venue premises, you could see attendees dressed in their best PTV/SWS outfits, making tik toks and buying merch, it was truly a throwback.
The show opened with Beach Weather, and they performed songs from their catalog such as “Chit Chat”, “Tulips” and “Swoon” slowly setting the tone for the evening. Next up was Sleeping With Sirens. The band started off strong with “Kick Me”. Immediately fans started singing along in unison. Lead singer, Kellin Quinn had plenty of interactions with fans which excited them more and more as the set went on. Songs such as “Tally It Up, Settle The Score”, “Do It Now Remember It Later” and “If I’m James Dean, You’re Audrey Hepburn” were performed. The set ended with the biggest throwback “If You Can’t Hang” having everyone singing at the top of their lungs.
It was finally time for Pierce The Veil. The lights dimmed, the curtains displayed the band’s logos and curtains soon dropped – starting the show with “Death of an Executioner”. The audience roared with cheers and screams. From the pit, to the lawn, every single person in the venue was singing their lungs out, it was incredible. The set followed with “Bulls in the Bronx”, “Pass the Nirvana” and many more!
There were many moments in the show where fans were surprised by the performers. From Vic and Jaime throwing out guitar picks, to Lionel throwing drumsticks to the audience, fans appreciated these little gestures. Vic thanked fans for coming out to the show and encouraged fans to have a great time. The show had songs from the band’s entire discography – such as “Today I Saw the Whole World”, “Caraphernelia”, “Emergency Contact”, and even “Hold on Till May”, we were able to experience all of their eras. The show ended with “King for a Day” featuring Kellin Quinn. Everyone used all the energy they had left to headbang, sing, scream and dance to the song. If the tour comes to a city near you, make sure to attend. You won’t want to miss it!
