Poison 43

American rock band Poison brought their Nothing But A Good Time Tour to the Toyota Music Factory in Irving, Texas on June 02, 2017. The incredible four piece rock band had so much energy that they literally took us all back to the prime of glam rock in the 80’s.

The band went on stage around 9:30pm after two incredible performances by the supporting acts Pop Evil and Cheap Trick (each of those bands played for more than 30mn). Those acts did a great job fuiling the crowd with energy because by the time Posion hit the stage the fans were ready to have nothing but a good time!

The band started of with songs like “Look What the Cat Dragged In, ” “I Want Action,” and “Ride the Wind.” When they first came on stage it was absolutely nuts. Everything you’d expect a rock and roll show to be this show was. There were flashing lights everywhere, wind machines, and pyrotechnics effects. The absolute best were the fans – screaming and signing along to all the songs.

Just like the fans did their part in literally being an amazing engaged audience, the bands performance did not fall flat. In fact there was so much energy that the floor in the photo pit was vibrating. They definitely project a good time and you can most certainly tell that after all these years the band still loves what they do.

During their pretty long performance they sang a few of their mega hits such as: “Fallen Angel,” “Nothin’ but a Good Time,” and “Every Rose Has Its Thorne.” These songs particularly stood out in their set because the venue got extremely loud for them and at some points lead singer Bret Michaels could not even sing over all the loud voices. It was a beautiful moment. It is always super cool when the crowd is actually engaged in a bands performance and not on their phones. Music, Why Not! recommends this show for anyone looking to have a good time!
