Rage On The Stage @The Novo – Los Angeles (part 1)

The Word Alive was the second band to take the stage and the energy they brought was intense to say the least. So much so, that leader singer, Telle Smith had to be taken to a hospital following their last song due to an injury he incurred while on stage. Later that evening, he tweeted a photo of himself from the hospital quoting,

“Last night in Los Angeles I suffered a compound fracture during our last song. Casted up for 6 weeks with physical therapy on the horizon, but I don’t plan on missing any shows. I’m going to try to perform while sitting down, so if you’re coming out to the remaining dates please go twice as hard for me. Thank you to all my family and friends who have reached out or who were there for me last night. I’m thankful it wasn’t worse! I’ll be back and stronger than ever in 2018.”

We love how he channeled his inner Dave Grohl to finish out the remainder of the tour performing via chair and we wish him a speedy recovery.
