Music, Why Not!

Reneé Rapp @ Bayou Music Center – Houston, Tx

Reneé Rapp performed to a sold out crowd in Houston for the first stop of the “Snow Hard Feelings” Tour, and wow, was it a show to remember.

Upon arriving at the venue, the first thing you could see were the fans who had lined up for hours to get a good spot once inside the venue to see one of their favorite artists. Fans traveled far and wide for the first stop of the tour, they were dressed in their best outfits, and even went as far as recreating some of Reneé’s most popular looks, everyone was excited for what was to come. Towa Bird and Alexander 23 were the two openers of the night. Each artist brought a unique sound to the set and each had long term fans in the audience as well, they definitely hyped up the audience especially when some of their popular songs such as “This Isn’t Me” and “Crash” were played.

It was time for the show to start, the lights dimmed and the fans cheered. Considering this was the first date of the tour – no one knew what to expect, you could see the excitement as well as nerves in everyone’s faces. Reneé came out on stage and opened the set with “Talk Too Much” from her debut album, “Snow Angel”, fans cheered in excitement and started singing in unison, followed by the next song “Poison Poison”. Rapp thanked fans for coming out and explained how excited she was for the show, the set followed with “Willow”.

The show was broken up into 4 different segments/seasons: Spring, Summer, Fall and Winter. Each section had its own different visuals, songs and overall mood. The setlist was a mix of songs from “Everything To Everyone” and “Snow Angel”, and let me tell you, fans knew every single lyric, melody and harmony, they all came prepared for the show. Some of the songs I personally enjoyed live were “23”, “Too Well” and “Gemini Moon”. As the show came closer to an end Reneé took a bow and walked off stage, the entire audience cheered for an encore, little did they know what was coming next. The last song of the night was “Snow Angel”, Rapp did an outfit change and came back onstage, the screens displayed giant angel wings giving Reneé the appearance of an actual angel. Fans sang as loud as they could during the final moments of the show, Reneé thanked everyone for coming out to the show and wished everybody a safe trip home.

Overall, the show was full of incredible visuals and vocals, it’s a show that left me and many others impressed. If the “Snow Hard Feelings” Tour comes to a city near you please make sure to attend, it’s a show you don’t want to miss! For more information on the tour click HERE.
