Royel Otis brought their ‘(meet me in the car tour)’ to Stubb’s in Austin, Texas for two incredible nights. Fans were seen lined up hours before doors were open to the venue, showing how dedicated Royel Otis fans are.

The show opened up with BBY, a London five-piece indie band who rocked the stage to get the crowd warmed up. Their sound was a mixture of grunge, with hip-hop, R&B, and alternative sounds. They certainly earned new fans after their performance.

The crowd roared, and cheered as Royel Otis took the stage and opened up with “i hate this tune.” “hickey” is their latest album which was released earlier this year in August and saw great success as well as great marketing and promotion for the album and tour.

Other fan favorite songs performed included “Sofa king,”Kool Aid,” “moody,” and “Oysters in My Pocket.” They also did a few cover songs which included “Murder on the Dancefloor,” originally by Sophie Ellis-Bextor and “Linger,” originally by The Cranberries.

Royel Otis brought an amazing, high energy set to Austin, and left the fans wanting more after every song. Safe to say if you weren’t at Stubb’s for either of their shows, you definitely missed a great show. Here’s to hoping they come back soon.
