SABA @ The Crocodile – Seattle, WA

SABA010

SABA dropped his second album, CARE FOR ME, and has been on the road ever since. This week he decided to drop by The Crocodile in Seattle and sell it out. He brought along quite the line-up of openers as well.

FRSH Waters opened the show up first. He’ll captivate you with his poetry in between his set of raps. Jean Deaux was up next. She wasn’t slated to perform at this Seattle show, but thankfully gave a stellar performance. After her came comedic rapper Joseph Chilliams. Joseph will put a smile on your face and make you dance. His rhymes are humorous and incredibly witty. There was a brief intermission between the openers and Saba.

His stage setup is super rad. It’s the largest set I’ve seen in The Crocodile, and adds to the overall vibe. Saba came out in a yellow crewneck and donned DJ sized headphones throughout his entire set. The excitement for this man was palbale within the room and only increased as he went through the CARE FOR ME album. Don’t worry – he also rapped his older stuff, which was equally known by the crowd. Easy to say Saba will be able to sell out a larger venue the next time he’s out in Seattle. You can check out the CARE FOR ME album here.
