Shane Smith & The Saints brought their tour to White Oak Music hall on May 14, 2021 as part of the venue’s few socially distanced concerts in Houston. To accommodate both live music and social distancing, White Oak Music Hall has implemented the “Grid System”, where each purchaser buys a specifically assigned area in the outdoor lawn. Each grid can fit up to 6 people max and is perfect for family and friends, they are spaced 6-7 feet from other adjacent grids to promote social distancing.
The show opened with local Houston band Ancient Cat Society followed by Grand Old Grizzly. Both bands played amazing sets and certainly hyped the crowd up for the main act.
At 9pm Shane Smith & The Saints hit the stage and it was a moment to remember. The lights dimmed and the entire crowd screamed and cheered, this was the first time for many people to attend a concert in person since the pandemic started in March of 2020. The band played songs from their albums “Geronimo”, “Coast” and “Hail Mary”, including my favorite song “Whirlwind”. The group has an amazing synergy and incredible stage presence, they kept everyone on their toes showing off their talents. If the band ever comes to a city near you make sure you attend a show.
Shane Smith & The Saints is currently on tour, make sure to check out their music!
