Music, Why Not!

Terra Lightfoot & Sam Weber @ Fox Cabaret – Vancouver, BC

North Saanich born artist, Sam Weber, kicked off the night with his band and some folk-rock tunes. Though their presence on-stage was energetic, the crowd took some time to get excited for the band. After some time the band was able to get everyone on their feet and ready for the main act with upbeat tunes such as “8 1/2” and some somber ones like “Truth of a Liar”.

The vivacious Ontario-based musician, Terra Lightfoot, took to the stage at 9PM with the ringing notes of “Stars Over Dakota” transitioning into “Paradise”. The trio of a band’s use of their instruments and lively stage presence excited the crowd quite quickly. All the members seemed to be swept away by the music they were playing and gave a loving essence to the stage; lead vocalist, Terra Lightfoot ended up taking a leap of faith and going into the crowd with just her guitar. Everyone had gone silent and it was just a moment to appreciate the music.

As the night progressed, Lightfoot got more awestruck with the enlivened audience. The band brought the night to a euphonic end with an encore of “See You in the Morning” which left the crowd with a feeling of pure bliss as the last strong notes strung out and the red and blue lights faded out.
