There aren’t too many shows happening this time of the year, so when I saw that The Moss was playing in Atlanta, I just had to be there. I only knew a couple songs by them before this, but I loved those songs, so I wasn’t worried. I listened to more of the band’s discography days before the show to prepare and I fell in love.

The Moss played to an energetic, young crowd on a Thursday night in Atlanta, GA at Terminal West.

I knew very little about the band before so the explosive energy took me by surprise. Lead singer, Tyke James, had me captivated from the moment he started running around the stage. His energy is so infectious that the crowd was quick to bop along. The way he dances makes it hard to look away or even stand still.  The crowd knew the words to the songs which made for a more exciting night for everyone. Smiles were shared all around and the room full of young people had the time of their lives.

Future Exboyfriend opened up the show and their lead singer, Tyler Harris, pulled double duty as he joined The Moss on guitar!  “The Place That Makes Me Happy” was a good, touching sing along moment. “Grand Hoodoo” and “Dog Valley” were wild because Tyke put his guitar down and let himself dance freely while signing. And everything else was simply fantastic.

The Moss is definitely a show you can go to without knowing a single word and end up having such a blast that you will not be able to stop thinking about them for days.
