Where has good music gone? Is a question I would ask myself constantly! I was so quick to jump ship into thinking that “band” music as I like to call it was no longer existent. That music that made an audience go wild with awesome guitar solos and killer lead vocals seemed to have disappeared- in my world at least. Then, I came across Spotify and Soundcloud and my “no good” music funk was over. It is like I had suddenly stepped into an entire new musical world. I came across indie rock bands that had influences like my favorite bands such as The Strokes, Stone Roses, The Killers, etc. I spent countless hours looking for only the best bands out there to feature on my site.
This past week I was fortunate enough to come across a band called The Vistas. Their songs are contagious- with impressible clean instrumentals and catchy lyrics. It is refreshing to listen to a band that incorporates heavy instrumentals-including drum and guitar solos. Their sound is so put together in the right Rock and Roll way that I was twice as surprised when I found out they are actually young musicians and a relatively new band. Fresh and innovative with a touch of electric is how I would describe their sound. To me they sound like the love child of The Ramones and The Strokes- can’t get any better than that, but hey listen to their music and let me know if I am right or right 😉
