Weathers is an alternative pop band from Los Angeles who thrives in the environment of live music. Their explosive energy on stage is so contagious that you cannot help but bop along to their performance. So, when they hit the stage in Atlanta, Georgia on September 25, 2021, the small but mighty crowd erupted into chaos.

The band opened with the intro song off their newest album. “Hello” was a great greeting to the crowd as it got everyone excited and was a simple ‘hello’ to everyone after a year and a half of no live music. It was Weathers’ first nationwide headlining tour, so it was their very first headline show in Atlanta. The energy continued as they went into their hit single “Problems” and then on through the rest of the set. They debuted an unreleased song titled “Out of My Mind”. Its catchy lyrics came with a trigger warning from lead vocalist, Cameron Boyer. The song dives into mental health issues, which is a common topic among Weathers’ discography.

The show was filled with lots of smiles and dancing from both the crowd and the band. The room wasn’t filled, but the energy from the crowd made it feel like it was. At one point, Boyer asked the crowd if it was anyone’s first time seeing the band and many people raised their hands. This brought smiles to all four of the members’ faces as they saw that even with the ongoing pandemic, their fanbase is alive and growing. This invoked a feeling of excitement that got everyone even more committed to having a great time.

The show had two openers, Kenzo Cregan and Aaron Taos. Both had their own goofy vibes that got the crowd going. A bathrobe and a top hat to so much energy that a baseball cap wouldn’t stay on, the show did not slow down one bit. Both opening bands stood at the back of the pit throughout Weather’s performance and put their dance moves on display once again. There was not a still person in the building.

Weathers’ first headlining concert in Atlanta was a smash hit. Maybe a sold out crowd didn’t show up, but the pure happiness and energy was enough to call this a night the band and crowd will not forget.
