A ball of flaming energy is the only appropriate way of describing the British singer, songwriter known as Yungblud. The 24 year old indie-rockstar has paved the way for an incredible career which has earned him some impressive accolades, including a Brit nomination for best male solo artist in 2021 and a phenomenal outspeaking discography to go along with it. This came just after the release of his incredible album ‘Weird’ which we were finally able to see live as he set out on a leg of sold out shows across the United Kingdom, with his black heart club fanclub by his side, they continue to take the nation and industry by storm.
The Doncaster born artist is on a monumental rise to the top of the industry with an unbelievably strong fanbase behind him and this couldn’t have been any clearer than on Thursday night in Manchester where he and his army took over the Manchester O2 Victoria Warehouse for the first of two sold out shows. Support for the night came from Daisy Brain and Renforshort
Yungblud, real name Dominic, took the stage around 9pm to an ocean of fans at the Manchester venue. As the lights dimmed a projection of the artist’s lips appeared on the huge curtain onstage and he began to virtually greet those in attendance and inform them of what they had in store for the night. The giant curtain then dropped and the roar from fans poured in, Dom revealed himself to the crowd and quite literally becoming possessed with the energy from within the building and the night well and truly began. After the opener of ‘Strawberry Lipstick’ and ‘Parents’ several other fan favourites played long into the night as the Manchester crowd partied hard with Yungblud in what would be a memorable night for all.
