Loyle Carner is quite easily one of the best rappers in the UK music scene right now and it’s not even up for debate. In a vastly talented and popular scene, Loyle’s musical talents lift him high above the rest. His unbelievable ability to write captivating, hard-hitting raps make him one of the most intriguing and real rappers that the UK has produced in recent years. The 28-year-old isn’t afraid to speak about taboo topics and social injustice and uses his own personal battles helps to get the message out there for change. After the release of his highly anticipated third studio album ‘Hugo’ in October 2022, Loyle Carner cemented himself as one of the greats and finished an absolutely outstanding three album run which first began with the release of his debut studio album ‘Yesterday’s gone’ in 2017. Loyle Carner simply can’t stop, with every record and release earning the star critical acclaim and he now has three Brit award nominations and Mercury Prize award nominations added to his impressive locker of achievements. The London-born rapper now finds himself knee-deep in one of the biggest tours of his esteemed career, taking over gigantic venues across Europe and the UK. We were lucky enough to catch Loyle as he played to a packed-out sold-out crowd in Sheffield at the Sheffield O2 Academy. Support for the night came from tremendously talented Wesley Joseph.
