After the success of their debut album ‘When We Were Friend’s in 2019, American alternative rock band The Backseat Lovers have been building momentum and rapidly gaining a following outside of the USA as the talented band work on making it big. 2022 Saw the Utah band finally release their highly anticipated second studio album ‘Waiting to Spill’, with the band then also announcing their biggest American, and UK and Ireland tour soon after. As a long-time fan of The Backseat Lovers it’s been incredible to see the lads growing their audience here in the UK and with their immense talents, the boys are destined for greatness. The band consists of great friends Joshua Harmon, Jonas Swanson, Juice Welch and KJ Ward, their latest record sees the band showcase their musical skills and range in much greater detail than their debut piece of work, with cathartic guitar solos and high-energy melodies that make them stand out from the crowd. Only last year did The Backseat Lovers make their Manchester debut so-to-speak playing a sold-out show at Manchester’s Gorilla venue and only a year later the band make a triumphant return playing to the much bigger O2 Ritz venue across the street for yet-again another sold-out show. We were lucky enough to see the boys live as they absolutely tore the roof off the place and further proved that this band are set to go far. Support for the night came from Junodream.
