Snail Mail By Maddie Stellingwerf

Synth pop quartet, “Choir Boy” put on excitable performance playing many hits from their 2016 debut album “Passive with Desire”. With a sound that resonates with a similar angst to the likes of “The Smiths” and “Tears for Fears”, the front man sings with obvious pain and desire for the entire crowd to feel. Overall, an outstanding and enjoyable performance, for anyone craving a new dream pop act to follow, “Choir Boy” is the one for you.

Snail Mail’s Lindsey Jordan puts on a performance like no other, at only 19 years old it’s clear that she was destined for the spotlight. Her melodic lyrics detailing the woes of growing up and falling in and out of love are relatable to everyone in the audience. Having just released her debut album ‘Lush’ most of the songs played we from that album however some older songs from her ‘Habit’ EP were played. The audience swayed along with Jordan to show their solidarity with her and her experiences. Overall an excellent show, hope to see her again soon.
