When I first got there, lines were wrapped along the entire block with people 16 years old and above waiting for the concert to start.

A groovy Wednesday night at Webster Hall started with Sure Sure, an art-pop band from the Eastside of Los Angeles, California. They started with a live musical combination of voice, guitars, and percussion. They performed various songs with the crowd swaying to a gentle beat.

After a short intermission, Half Alive came onto the stage and served an entire performance. They entered with a choreographed dance in the dark, with only a projection of images on their dance as a light source. The entire show seemed heavily choreographed, as from one song to another, different transitions involved many complicated combinations of light manipulation and dance. It was also Josh’s (The lead singer) birthday and per his request, the audience sang him “Firework” by Katy Perry to celebrate his birthday. It was a beautiful night as songs such as “arrow” and “still feel.” is performed with its corresponding dance in front of us.
