There just might have been a bit of magic in the air last night, as it was the final night of the Magic City Hippies fall tour. Kicking off the show was The Hails, an alternative rock band from Gainesville, FL. The young band played mellow songs that captivated the crowd and got everyone dancing. The next band that played was Bay Ledges, which was an LA-based trio. They matched the fun energy of The Hails, with the lead singer throwing down very original dance moves during their songs. It was almost as if you could see the music passing through him. Their bass player was seated during the set due to a leg injury, but she did not let that stop her from rocking the house.

The crowd could not contain their excitement between Bay Ledges and Magic City Hippies. Fans eagerly cheered out the name of the lead vocalist, Robby, several times before the band finally took the stage. When the Magic City Hippies played their first note, the crowd went wild. Everyone was dancing and smiling as the indie funk band played songs such as, “Hush,” “Fanfare,” “Franny,” and “Heart Wants.” The ever-changing color of the spotlights helped bring out the mood of each song. The band’s energy never waned and fans could not get enough. After the band had finished their last song, they came back out to play one more final song of the night, and of 2018, to the crowd’s demand.
