Romy’s concert at the Hollywood Palladium, presenting “Club Mid Air,” was nothing short of a transformative experience; once you stepped through the doors, you entered a vibrant, pulsating dream.

With the venue adorned in colorful lights and pulsating with energy, Romy transported her audience into a euphoric realm where smiles spread throughout the crowd as they danced the night away. Known for her solo album “Mid Air” and her illustrious career with the xx, Romy’s evolution as an artist was on full display as she took center stage alongside the talented Francine Perry, who was in charge of producing and mixing live at the show. Romy began the night with her songs ‘DMC’ and ‘Weightless.’ As soon as her music played, the atmosphere felt euphoric. You could hear everyone singing along as the beat flowed through the space, getting everyone moving and enjoying their time with their friends. There was no denying the energy inside that venue; even Romy sensed this and shouted to the crowd, “LA, you feeling emotional? Me too.” She followed this statement by playing a softer, slower version of ‘Lights Out,’ which turned the crowd into a wave of nostalgic feelings, closing their eyes as they sang along.

As the night drew to a close, Romy played ‘Strong,’ one of my personal favorites from her album. The atmosphere was electric, brimming with love and positivity as everyone knew the lyrics, singing along and joining Romy as she jumped and danced on stage. Indeed, Romy’s concert was not merely a musical event but a celebration of life, love, and the unifying power of music.
