31-year-old Swedish-Persian singer and songwriter Snoh Aalegra shows a sold out audience in Seattle how she can fill any room with her timeless musical creations. Snoh brings together soothing orchestras, alternative R&B and hip hop influences paired with her classic vocals to create a new spin on what we envision soulful ballads to be.

Having collaborated with artists from Vince Staples to Timbuktu on her 2017 debut project “FEELS” to being sampled on Drake’s “Do Not Disturb” from his More Life EP, Snoh has spread her sound across many of today’s favorite contemporary artists in hip-hop. After seeing her live, there’s no questioning how she landed those opportunities.

A sold-out Columbia City Theatre in South Seattle brought together a diverse group of audience members of so many different age groups that I couldn’t tell what type of show I was at, further proving Snoh’s reach as an artist to appeal to a timeless genre of dedicated listeners.

Throughout the show, the crowd belted our hearts to her vulnerable and honest debut project portraying her range of emotions going through a toxic relationship. There were her most memorable moments during songs like “Fool For You” where we held our lights up while she sang, swayed, and shared moments of gratitude for all our support on the closing night of her tour. But she just as easily kept us on our toes with her upbeat jams like “You Keep Me Waiting” and “FEELS”.

Snoh Aalegra is a household name for her unique, jazzy, funky, R&B soul-packed vocals. Her eclectic influences and performances sounding the way they do, bringing together the people she does, truly makes it feel like with music, time never matters.
